Frequently Asked Questions
Below are a number of questions I’ve received about the game that I wanted to answer.
There is also a form at the bottom of the page so you can submit any other questions you may have.
The game will release in four chapters, which will be released gradually, as they are completed.
I’m not ready to commit to a release date yet. If I did provide a specific date, I’m worried that I would have to delay the game, disappointing people who were looking forward to playing the game. At this point I’m not sure how long development is going to take.
Yes! The Steam page is now live.
At release, the game will be available on Windows and MacOS.
It will be purchasable from both Steam and Itch.io for both operating systems.
Ideally, I would also love to have the game available on consoles (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox). I don’t think there would be any issues getting the game to work on consoles, since it already has controller support.
Unfortunately porting the game to consoles is going to be quite expensive, so I can only really consider it if the game is popular enough.
I also think a port for mobile devices (Android and IOS) could work quite well, but it would take extra time to get this ready. I will need to tweak a number of things about the game before it would work well on the platform.
I aim to prioritise getting the game verified for the Steam Deck on release. I have even tested the game on my own Steam Deck through Proton and thought it worked quite well!
I am developing most of the game by myself with little to no budget, so releasing in chapters means I can put some of the money earned from releasing earlier chapters back into the game.
Additionally, releasing in chapters will also help a lot with my motivation to get the game finished, as I’ll have continuous feedback from players.
I haven’t decided how the game will be monetised yet and don’t want to make any decisions so early in development.
I am also undecided if I want to charge per chapter, or have a single payment to access all chapters as they come out.
I’ll announce further details when the first chapter is closer to release.
I would love to release a free demo for people to try at some point in the future, but I’ll need to put a bit more work into the game before I consider it ready for that.
